The Skye and Lochalsh Community Wellbeing and Support Forum brings together local groups and partners to share ideas, develop projects, and shape community wellbeing and social care.
The forum rotates its focus monthly across the three areas, Adult Services, Children's and Young Peoples services and Community Hub Services.

Workshop Aim
The Highland Health and Social Care Partnership Adult Social Care Commissioning Strategy and Intentions 2026-2029, will change how services are funded and delivered, with a stronger focus on prevention, social prescribing, community-led support and Self-Directed Support (SDS).
These changes could create new opportunities for community organisations, but may also affect existing grant and contract funding models.
This workshop will:

Explore what the changes mean for organisations in Skye and Lochalsh.

Gather local views to feed into the Highland Adult Social Care Conference on 25 November, and National Social Prescribing Framework.

Consider the impact of the Scottish Government's Programme for Change.

Discuss opportunities in adult social care, social prescribing and prevention.

Shape future priorities for the Skye & Lochalsh HWWS Collaboration.

Help strengthen the third sector's voice in future service planning and investment.
