Skye and Lochalsh Community Wellbeing and Support Forum
The Skye and Lochalsh Community Wellbeing and Support Forum is a collaborative space for, community groups, third sector organisations, and public sector partners to bring forward ideas, propose projects, and shape the future of health, wellbeing, social care, and welfare in our communities.
This forum is part of the Skye and Lochalsh Health, Wellbeing, Welfare and Social Care (HWWS) Collaboration led by SLCVO. It was established in direct response to local engagement which identified the need for a shared, inclusive platform to support joint planning, improve service coordination, and ensure that voices from across our rural communities are heard and acted upon.
Register here to attend the Forum on the 10th July in Kyleakin

The forum provides a platform to:
-
Share what groups are doing locally—celebrating existing efforts and encouraging mutual support.
-
Highlight and discuss emerging needs seen in communities across Skye and Lochalsh.
-
Identify and co-design new services and initiatives that promote holistic wellbeing across all life stages.
-
Exchange knowledge, challenges, and solutions across the third and public sectors.
-
Amplify the rural voice, ensuring diverse lived experiences inform service planning and delivery.
-
Build resilience and sustainability within the local third sector through peer learning, networking, and capacity building.
-
Support collaborative funding approaches and align projects with regional and national priorities.
Ideas and proposals generated through the forum—particularly those that reflect high levels of need or innovation—will be passed to the Skye and Lochalsh HWWS Steering Group for review as part of the Caring Communities: Skye & Lochalsh Wellbeing & Support Plan 2025–2030 Delivery Programme.

Where priorities are identified, resources may be allocated to support feasibility studies, business case development, and project planning. This process will be supported by SLCVO’s dedicated HWWS Project Resource, with a focus on creating strong, inclusive, and sustainable partnership-based models.
