Research and Engagement Officer

📅 Duration: Fixed term for 12 months
🕒 Hours: Part-time – 24.5 hours per week
💷Pay: £18,200 (£26,000 per annum pro-rata)

🌴 Annual Leave: 25.2 days per annum (30 days + 6 public holidays pro-rata)
📍 Location: Home-based with travel across Skye and Lochalsh

About the Role:
We're looking for a dedicated Research and Engagement Officer to help develop and deliver resources for Skye and Lochalsh Council for Voluntary Organisations (SLCVO) and our Health, Wellbeing, and Welfare Collaboration Programme. If you are passionate about research and making a difference in your community, this role is for you.

Who We Are:
SLCVO is committed to enhancing social, health, and community wellbeing in Skye and Lochalsh. Our programme connects people, supports local groups, and champions important causes.

What You'll Do:

  • Research: Map local third sector groups, review data, develop research plans, and create insightful reports.

  • Engage: Build connections with local groups and people with lived experience, share project information, and promote self-evaluation.

  • Collaborate: Work with our team, attend meetings, and help prepare project reports.

 

What We Need:

  • Essential: Research experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and proficiency with digital tools.

  • Desirable: Knowledge of health, wellbeing, and social care, experience with co-production, and project management skills.
