Supporting Third Sector Groups
Skye and Lochalsh CVO support third sector organisations in many aspects of their development and growth, from setting-up a group to carrying out organisational health checks. The Community Toolkit is a series of downloadable guides written by SLCVO staff to help groups in their day to day operations and strategic planning.
Starting a New Group
If you have an idea for a community group SLCVO's Community Toolkit guides you through the setting-up process, from assessing community need to writing business plans.
Running a Group
Good governance is essential for your group to survive and develop. The Community Toolkit supports committees and trustees in best practice, from meeting regulatory requirements to monitoring and evaluation.
Covid-19
As Covid-19 restrictions relax you will be thinking about when you can start services and activities again. SLCVO can help you work through your questions and develop plans to get your organisation up and running again.
Directories
In addition to SLCVO there are a number of specialist organisations that support third sector groups. The Community Toolkit has two directories of essential support services.
