Free Information and Advice

First established in 1949, Skye & Lochalsh C.V.O has nearly 60 years experience in working with community groups and can offer help with everything from setting up your group through to the legilsation and information you need to run it efficiently, giving advice on committee structure and charity law, organising and hosting training sessions and offering relevant local contacts and funding details. As well as our COSLA Award winning online Community Toolkit, we offer assistance from our office in Portree and through our outreach services. Help with Finding Funding 

As well as our extensive knowledge and funding contacts we can also offer your community group access to the Funderfinder database and Grant Making Trusts CDRom.

In some instances funderfinder searches are also available to individuals seeking financial assistance for projects which will be of relevance to the local community - this might include vocational training for example.

We also have a small selection of reference books containing additional funding sources .

We are always happy to give advice and assistance with any funding application your group may be involved with, including looking over your draft applications.

Please contact us to book a funderfinder session. A session usually takes approx 1 hour and works best when your group has a clearly defined project in mind. Room hire and Videoconference facility

Tigh Lisigarry offers a fully equiped meeting room at reasonable costs - flipchart, TV & video, teas/coffee or sandwiches by arrangement.

We offer flexible layouts depending on your requirments - seminar style (up to 22 people) Board room (up to 12), U-shaped (up to 14) or more informal. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. Our meeting room furniture was upgraded in 2007 with the help of an Awards for All grant.

The meeting room also includes our recently upgraded Tandberg video-conference facility enabling you to link up with - and take part in - meetings or training sessions held in other locations. This was purchased with grateful assistance from Awards for All and Community Economic Development fund.

Whether your meeting or training session includes several attendees or you need one to one focus, the new video-conference equipment is easy to use and offers excellent visual and audio quality.

We can also host multi-way video-conferencing allowing simaltaneous link-ups with several locations at once.

One of our regular video conference customers is the University of the Highlands who use the facility to link not only with Sabhal Mor Ostaig Gaelic College in the south of the island but also their Inverness base .

Photocopying

At Tigh Lisigarry we offer a photocopying service including full colour up to A3 size and a flexible desk-top publishing service offering the benefit of producing quality colour posters, leaflets etc at a fraction of commercial print rates. We can also type community groups minutes and correspondence.

All our services are tailored to our community group members needs - so remember to call and discuss your requiriements - we will be happy to try and accommodate your requests.

Digital copying service includes: mono (black & white) copying, monochrome (one colour) and full colour copying from business cards to A3 size, single or double sided and on card up to 250gsm as well as standard papers.

Desk Top Publishing

We offer a design service for all your fundraising and promotional requirements:- posters, leaflets, flyers, business cards, charity tins, newsletters etc.  Our desktoppublishing service also includes the option of designing full colour posters, mirror images, monochrome images and larger sized multi image display copies.

Our commitment to providing a low cost, fast and efficient high quality copy service remains the same, as do our current charges.

Office Services 

We also offer the following office services:

Promotion
