| Description |
The Glendale Homecoming Weekend starts Friday 23rd July with the heritage exhibition in Borrodale School 11am til late. The cafe will be open 10-4pm and there will also be an archive exhibition from The Archive Centre Portree with historical information about Glendale.
In the afternoon 4-5pm there will be an address by Prof Norman MacLeod on the life of Magnus MacLean.
5-7pm Fishing competition at Meanish Pier.
6-8pm Traditional fayre - tattie & herring (or tattie & mince) at Borrodale School.
To complete Fridays celebrations, there will be a traditional ceilidh gathering at Borrodale School hosted by Allan Campbell and including films about the Glendale Mill and the SS Hebrides. Bring your musical instruments, photos and memories to share. 8pm til late - unlicenced.
