This consultation event is one of 5 FREE roadshows to be held across Scotland during Feb-March 2010 and is open to anyone who has experience of dementia - as a person who has dementia themselves, a family member, carer or health, social care or housing professional.

Five topic areas have been identified by people with dementia, their carers and professionals who have been working together to get a clear picture of the problems and possible solutions:-

• medical treatment and consent - managing behaviour challenges
• assessment, diagnoses and patient pathways
• improving general service response to dementia
• rights, dignity and personalisation
• health improvement, public attitudes and stigma
  

This roadshow event invites you to discuss the key recommendations and to get together with to look at solutions.

Reasonable travel expenses may be claimed by people with dementia and family carers. Information about the work of Alzheimers Scotland will be available on the day.
