| Changes to Income Support and Jobseeker's Allowance
From October 2010 lone parents with a youngest child aged 7 or over will no longer be entitled to Income Support if they are only claiming it because they are a lone parent. Instead they will have to look for paid work or make a claim for Jobseeker's Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance if they are not able to work due to a health condition or disability.
